Staple Buckets

The staple buckets are 5 gallon white buckets with colored lids.  These colors correspond with the color of a patrol Box and are assigned to the patrol assigned to the box.  The reason for the buckets is to provide each patrol with basic spices so that they can season their foods as desired throughout a Camporee.  Also enclosed are cleaning products, garbage bags and extra mantels for the lantern.

Following are the procedures for maintaining the inventory of the staple buckets during Camporee

  1. Once the patrols get their site setup at a camp out, they need to check to see what items are needed for their buckets.  This should be done before setting up personal site.
  2. If items are needed, locate the troop Quartermaster in order to fill or replace staple items needed in bucket.
  3. Patrol Bucket must be clean at all times.
  4. At the end of the camp outing the patrol needs to check list to make sure all items are returned to the bucket, noting missing or damaged containers.

Paper towels are provided by the patrol for the weekend.

If there are any other items that you would like in the staple bucket, please write this down and give it to the Quartermaster.
